By Samuel Sunday

Atiku and Tinubu

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, has strongly condemned President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over the ongoing political crises in Lagos and Osun State. Atiku alleged that the APC is desperate to retain power at all costs, even if it means resorting to violence and chaos.

Specifically, Atiku criticized the APC's actions in Osun State, where the party allegedly orchestrated a full-scale assault on the democratic process, attempting to hijack the local government elections through brute force. He also accused the presidency and the APC leadership of watching the chaos in "complicit silence".

Atiku urged security agencies to uphold constitutional duty with professionalism and resist being used as enforcers of the APC's agenda. He commended the brave citizens of Osun for standing up to the tyranny and urged Nigerians to resist the APC's attempts to subvert democracy.

In a statement released  by the former presidential Aspirant Atiku Abubakar on his official social media X handle on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Atiku,  emphasized that Nigerians demand good governance, not chaos, and will not sit idly while democracy is hijacked by a power-drunk regime. He called on President Tinubu and his enablers to cease their reckless acts of political sabotage across Nigeria and embrace unity.
