Burutu, Delta State – In a heartfelt tribute brimming with admiration and gratitude, Hon. Richard Tuedon, a prominent political figure and respected leader of Ngbilebiri Ward 7 in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, has joined thousands of well-wishers across Nigeria in celebrating the 66th birthday of Hon. Elder Godsday Orubebe, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and a towering leader in the political and socio-economic development of the Niger Delta region.
In a statement made available to the press, Hon. Tuedon extolled the virtues and legacy of Elder Orubebe, describing him as "a rare gift to humanity and an unwavering pillar of hope to the people of Burutu, the Niger Delta, and indeed Nigeria at large."
According to him, "Hon. Elder Godsday Orubebe’s life is a testament to visionary leadership, undiluted patriotism, and selfless service. His track record of humanitarian commitment, community empowerment, and strategic development across the Niger Delta is not something mere words can adequately express. His heart beats for his people and this has been evident in every sphere he has touched, from his time in public office to his continued engagement with grassroots communities."
Hon. Tuedon went further to laud Elder Orubebe’s transformative role during his tenure as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, where he championed major infrastructural initiatives, empowered countless youths and women, and amplified the voices of the marginalized across the oil-rich but underdeveloped region.
“His contributions to the socio-political advancement of Burutu Local Government Area, and indeed the entire Niger Delta region, are monumental. Not even a thousand pages of a book could fully encapsulate the depth of his service, his compassion for the downtrodden, and his unwavering commitment to equity, justice, and development,” he added.
In his concluding remarks, Hon. Tuedon offered sincere prayers for Elder Orubebe, saying: “On this milestone occasion of your 66th birthday, I join your family, friends, and the good people of Burutu and Nigeria in praying that the Almighty continues to crown your efforts with resounding success.
