The Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Delta State, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, has congratulated the Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of his family and the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F. Oborevwori, the Commissioner described Hon. Pondi as “a dependable patriot, a grassroots‐oriented lawmaker, and a true ambassador of Burutu Federal Constituency whose contributions to development speak for themselves.”
Rt. Hon. Angele—who himself is a former Chairman of Burutu Local Government—emphasised that Hon. Pondi has consistently demonstrated unrivalled commitment to the welfare of his people, noting that “his legislative impact cuts across all wards in Burutu Federal Constituency, with footprints that words alone cannot fully capture.”
He further highlighted that Hon. Pondi has shown, repeatedly and convincingly, that service to the people supersedes political considerations. According to the Commissioner, “Rt. Hon. Pondi has remained a symbol of humility, accessibility, and result-oriented leadership. His passion for community development continues to inspire both the young and old within our constituency.”
Rt. Hon. Angele also underscored the long-standing personal and political relationship between them, describing Pondi not only as a colleague but as a trusted brother and ally in their shared mission to uplift Burutu and Delta State at large. He noted that their common constituency bond has fostered a strong sense of unity and collaboration in addressing issues affecting the riverine region.
The Commissioner commended the lawmaker for his unwavering support for the M.O.R.E. Agenda of Governor Oborevwori, adding that Hon. Pondi’s partnership with the state government has helped attract meaningful projects and federal attention to Burutu.
While celebrating him as “a blessing to Burutu Local Government and the Ijaw nation,” the housing commissioner prayed for God’s continued grace, wisdom, and protection upon the distinguished legislator. “It is my earnest prayer,” he stated, “that God grants him many more years in good health, strength, and divine favour to fulfil his aspirations for our people and continue his noble service to the nation.”
Rt. Hon. Angele concluded by calling on leaders, stakeholders, and constituents to join in celebrating a man he described as “worthy of honour, worthy of friendship, and worthy of every recognition that comes his way.”
