A foundation known for prioritising the welfare and well-being of the aged and less privileged, the Evelyn P. Foundation has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service with a Christmas outreach to Ayakoromo Federated Community.
The outreach, which took place on Tuesday, December 24, 2025, was aimed at easing the burden of the festive season for vulnerable members of the community. The Foundation arrived with its entourage to share love and goodwill, in line with its annual tradition of supporting the aged during Christmas. The event was attended by notable personalities, including Hon. Tony Dauyebo, while Mr. Matthew Akpiakise served as the Chairman of the Occasion.
As part of the outreach, cash gifts were distributed to the aged, the less privileged, and the elder persons (Amakosu-owei and Amakosu-ere) of the various clusters that make up Ayakoromo Community. The Foundation explained that, unlike previous years when food items and other materials were distributed, this year’s support was provided entirely in cash to allow beneficiaries the flexibility to meet their most pressing needs during the Christmas period.
Beneficiaries included the elder person of Ayakoromo Community, Pa. Duomu Esaba, the female elder person of the community, Mama Kalama Bekere, alongside several other residents, among them Mr. Ogomu Victor, Mrs. Kaduna Bafugha, Mr. Ekiyere Amaka, Mr. Okpokiti Port Harcourt, Mrs. Audu Moruku, Mrs. Boson Alice Pine, Mrs. Okpe Tebesene, Ms. Igwe Blacky, Mr. Afekorozibo Peregbene, Mrs. Ojobosou Foto, Ms. Ogbolakumo Nagha, Ms. Yeidi Rofina, Mr. Lyon Darosa, Ms. Tionbo Boukazi, Mrs. Seigha Youbo-ere, Mr. Kemezi Ebimie-owei, Mr. Afeseimone Ezonabode, Mr. Ebamene Jimmy, Mrs. Obiri April, Mrs. Oboye Ebiere, Mrs. Paul Obiri Lucy, Mrs. Tarede Yoruba-ere, Mr. Garuwa Arokazi, Mrs. Oyabebe Elemu, Mr. Friday Akpopeigha, Mr. Ememereke Gas, Ms. Akeme Toroyou-ere, Mr. Brapaye Joseph Agenekebe, Mr. Perekeme Kwame, Ms. Tolo Bulouaregha, Mr. Akuta Kumasi, Mrs. Ogele Akpezude, and Ms. Ogetei Mary.
Cash gifts were also extended to the elder persons of New Town, Ebeingbene, Egolegbene, Oborobogbene, Akparemogbene, Oyangbene, Eseimogbene, and Abegbene communities, ensuring that all clusters within the federated community were represented in the outreach.
During the presentation, beneficiaries offered prayers and words of appreciation to the Foundation, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. Some of the elderly beneficiaries, visibly emotional, noted that celebrating the festive season would have been difficult without the support provided by the Foundation.
