An explosion has struck a section of the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) in Bodo Community, located in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State. The incident occurred late Monday night near the ongoing construction of the Bodo-Bonny Road.
A video released on Tuesday morning showed thick black smoke rising from the site, with a rapidly spreading fire engulfing the surrounding mangrove area.
The Trans Niger Pipeline is a key federal transport line that delivers oil to the Bonny Export Terminal in Rivers State.
