Respected youth stakeholder of the Odimodi Youth Movement, Comr. Kiyagha Tam. Ezekiel, has called on all Odimodi youths, both at home and in the diaspora, to unite in support of Comr. Austin Benikurukuru as the next President of the Odimodi Youth Federated Community.
Speaking with journalists, Comr. Ezekiel described Comr. Benikurukuru’s aspiration as “a round peg in a round hole,” noting that his leadership qualities, integrity, and commitment to the collective good of Odimodi youths make him well-suited for the position.
According to him, his call for support is based on years of personal acquaintance and a clear understanding of Comr. Benikurukuru’s vision for the community. “I have known Austin for a long time. He is a Godsend, a man of humility and purpose. If given the mandate, support, and votes of the Odimodi youth, I strongly believe he will champion genuine youth development and community progress,” he said.
Comr. Ezekiel stressed that he does not usually call on people to support political aspirants, but after meaningful conversations with Comr. Benikurukuru, he became convinced of his sincerity and readiness to serve. “I do not just ask people to support a candidate,” he remarked. “However, from my interactions with the incoming president, I can confidently say that we will not be disappointed if we rally behind him. He has promised to carry every youth along and ensure that all benefit from the dividends of democracy under his administration.”
The respected stakeholder further urged all Odimodi youths to rise above divisions and support a candidate who represents unity and progress. “Leaders who are truly God-sent do not need to talk too much to prove their worth. Their works and integrity speak for them,” he added. “I am appealing to all our youths, at home and abroad, to stand with Comr. Austin Benikurukuru for a stronger, more united, and forward-looking Odimodi Youth Movement.”
