High Chief Dennis Otuaro PhD and Sen. Comr. Josiah Temeoewiemiienbi PreciousThe National Union of Izon-ibe Students (NUIS) Worldwide has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Administrative Head of the Presidential Amnesty Program, High Chief Dennis Otuaro PhD, while sending a stark warning to individuals and groups causing chaos to the program within and outside the Ijaw ethnic nationality.
In a statement made available to Nigeria Daily Chronicles, the Apex Students' Body President, Sen. Comr. Josiah Temeoewiemiienbi Precious, commended High Chief Otuaro's outstanding performance, particularly in the area of scholarship awards to Izon-Ibe students.
"We are impressed with the numerous benefits accruing to our members from the Amnesty Program, especially the scholarship awards," Sen. Comr. Precious said. "The students' community will not condone any form of disturbance or distraction to the Amnesty Coordinator, High Chief Dennis Otuaro, as this will hinder the progress of our members."

Josiah lamented that despite High Chief Otuaro's efforts to ensure inclusiveness and stakeholder engagement, his administration has been plagued by consistent turbulence and disturbance from within and outside the Ijaw ethnic nationality.
"It is unfortunate that some individuals and groups have made it their duty to distract the Amnesty Coordinator, High Chief Otuaro, from focusing on the core mandate of the Presidential Amnesty Program," Sen. Comr. Josiah noted. "These detractors, who are mostly beneficiaries of the program, have been spreading false information, sponsoring protests, and engaging in other forms of sabotage aimed at discrediting the Amnesty Coordinator and undermining the program."
The NUIS President emphasized that the Union will no longer tolerate such acts, stressing that the students' community must take responsibility for their actions.
"We are the cause of our problems, and we must not blame external bodies," Sen. Comr. Josiah asserted. "If we continue on this path, we cannot actualize our long-dreamed utopian society in the Niger Delta region. We urge all stakeholders to support High Chief Otuaro in his efforts to move the Amnesty Program forward."
Sen. Comr. Josiah further described High Chief Otuaro's one-and-a-half-year achievement as "humongous and indelible," setting a precedent for future administrators.
"High Chief Otuaro has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the Amnesty Program," Sen. Comr. Josiah said. "His efforts to reposition the program, engage stakeholders, and provide opportunities for beneficiaries are commendable. We are confident that he will continue to deliver on his mandate and make the Niger Delta region proud."
The NUIS President also called on the Federal Government to provide adequate support and resources to the Presidential Amnesty Program, stressing that the program's success is crucial to the development and stability of the Niger Delta region.
"We urge the Federal Government to prioritize the Amnesty Program and provide the necessary resources and support to ensure its success," Sen. Comr. Josiah said. "The program's success is critical to the development and stability of the Niger Delta region, and we must all work together to achieve this goal."
Conclusively, Sen. Comr. Josiah reiterated the Union's support for High Chief Otuaro and the Presidential Amnesty Program, while warning detractors to desist from their destructive actions.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and take necessary actions to protect the interests of our members and the Niger Delta region," Sen. Comr. Josiah said. "We urge all stakeholders to join us in supporting High Chief Otuaro and the Presidential Amnesty Program, and to work together towards a peaceful and prosperous Niger Delta region."
