Concerned Ijaw Youths Endorse Dr. Tamuno Kpokpo for IYC National Deputy President

A coalition of concerned Ijaw youths drawn from the Western, Central, and Eastern Zones of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has called on delegates ahead of the forthcoming IYC National Convention to support and vote for Dr. Tamuno Kpokpo as the next National Deputy President of the Council.

The group, under the leadership of its National Coordinator, Comrade Enekorogha Godbless, a respected IYC stalwart from the Western Zone, made the appeal during a meeting of stakeholders and youth leaders held recently.

According to Comrade Godbless, the group's endorsement of Dr. Kpokpo is based on his proven track record of service, dedication, and immense contributions to the growth and development of the IYC, particularly during his tenure as Chairman of the Eastern Zone.

He noted that Dr. Kpokpo demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, fostered unity among Ijaw youths, and championed initiatives that advanced the interests of young people across the region.

"Dr. Tamuno Kpokpo has consistently distinguished himself as a committed and visionary leader. His achievements in the Eastern Zone remain evident, and we are confident that if given the opportunity to serve as National Deputy President, he will bring his wealth of experience, administrative competence, and leadership expertise to bear in moving the Ijaw Youth Council to greater heights," Godbless stated.

The group further described Dr. Kpokpo as a bridge-builder whose leadership style promotes inclusiveness, transparency, accountability, and youth empowerment. They expressed confidence that his emergence would strengthen the Council's capacity to effectively advocate for the welfare and aspirations of Ijaw youths across the Niger Delta and beyond.

The concerned youths also urged delegates to prioritize competence, experience, and integrity in making their choices during the election, stressing that the future of the IYC depends on electing leaders with a demonstrated commitment to service and the collective interests of the Ijaw nation.

They reaffirmed their unwavering support for Dr. Kpokpo's aspiration and called on delegates from all zones to rally behind his candidacy in the interest of unity, progress, and sustainable development within the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide.
