Respected youth leader of Ayakoromo Community in Burutu Local Government Area, Mr. Angodideke Ernest, popularly known as Akpofe, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Pere S. P. Luke, Kalanama VIII, the Pere of Akugbene-Mein Clan, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, Akpofe described the revered monarch as a symbol of exemplary traditional leadership whose reign has been distinguished by wisdom, humility, justice, and an unwavering commitment to the peace, unity, and development of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom.
He noted that beyond occupying the ancestral throne, Pere Kalanama VIII has continued to provide purposeful leadership that has strengthened the cultural heritage of the kingdom while promoting harmony among his people. According to him, the monarch's contributions to the advancement of traditional institutions, particularly through his roles as 1st Vice Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and Secretary of the South-South Traditional Rulers Council, have further elevated the prestige of the Akugbene-Mein Kingdom within and beyond Delta State.
Akpofe stated that the King's life of service, accessibility, and fatherly disposition has inspired many young people to embrace the values of integrity, respect for tradition, and selfless leadership.
"As Your Royal Majesty celebrates another year today, I join the people of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, the Ijaw nation, and numerous well-wishers in thanking Almighty God for His faithfulness over your life and reign. It is my earnest prayer that God grants you many more years in sound health, divine wisdom, strength, and peace as you continue to lead our people with honour and distinction," he said.
He prayed that the reign of Pere Kalanama VIII would continue to usher in greater peace, unity, and sustainable development for Akugbene-Mein Kingdom and the Ijaw nation at large.
