The National Association of Odimodi Students Worldwide (NAOS) has showered profound birthday felicitations on Hon. Cedric Amu, describing him as a rare gem, an unwavering pillar of support, and one of the student-friendly leaders the Odimodi Federated Community has ever produced.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday and signed by the National President of the Association, Comrade Bekebebedougha Eric Ogokeme, NAOS paid glowing tribute to Hon. Amu’s steadfast commitment to the academic and socio-economic advancement of students and youth across the community. The association commended his consistent benevolence, exceptional leadership qualities, and relentless dedication to youth development.
According to the statement, “Hon. Cedric Amu is not just a political figure, he is a father, mentor, and friend to the entire student body. His contributions to the wellbeing, growth, and success of Odimodi students are innumerable and cannot be adequately captured in mere words. From financial support, to mentorship and capacity-building initiatives, he has been a backbone to many of our dreams.”
Speaking in a telephone interview with Nigeria Daily Chronicles, Comrade Ogokeme emphasized the immeasurable impact of Hon. Amu’s interventions in the lives of students and young people within the Odimodi community.“
If we had ten people like Hon. Cedric Amu in our community,” Ogokeme noted, “Odimodi would be one of the most developed communities in Nigeria today. He stands out as a student-friendly leader whose love for education and empowerment has no bounds. His selfless disposition and open-door policy have endeared him to every student in our union.”
The President further disclosed that Hon. Amu has, on several occasions, come to the aid of the association in moments of dire need, often rendering personal assistance without expecting anything in return.“
He doesn’t do what he does for applause or recognition,” Ogokeme added. “His passion for people’s welfare is genuine, and we are endlessly grateful.”
In addition to their words of appreciation, the Association also offered heartfelt prayers for the celebrant. “It is our earnest prayer that God Almighty continues to bless and elevate Hon. Cedric Amu. May all his endeavors be crowned with success, and may every desire of his heart be brought to glorious fruition. His kind heart and compassionate spirit deserve nothing but divine favor and enduring legacy.”
The union has pledged to immortalize his numerous contributions in its history and will continue to honour him as a symbol of selfless leadership, community development, and educational advocacy.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with well-meaning stakeholders like Hon. Amu to advance the educational and developmental aspirations of Odimodi students worldwide.
